Oh, it had been forever since I had seen the name Good Weather For An Airstrike. If I can recall correctly, I stumbled upon this one man ambient/post-rock project way before any traces of Stereofox even existed... back in the days when last.fm used to be my homepage. Needless to say, I got hooked to the name first and later on - to the beautiful soundscapes created by Tom Honey.

Somehow the name got buried down my mind until I saw it on one of my colleague's at work mixes. The song I'm sharing today - "A Song For Libby" is off Tom's newest record A Home For You - a beautiful and profound journey in between the border of post-rock and ambient music. I might be wrong, but I think the album and all the name are indirectly related to the birth of his two little girls. The whole track feels transcendental. It makes me sad and it evokes memories from the past and in the same time - it is epicly empowering. Not sure how fatherhood feels like, but I always imagined that such event changes a person. It makes him be better, wiser and more responsible.
