Harry Charles' "Drift" pulls listeners in with it's compelling sound design and odyssey-like progression that builds gradually into a powerful, immersive climax.

My first encounter with the New Zealand-based act Harry Charles was through the gem "The Luck", and since then I've been fascinated with his approach to production. On this new release, he pulls from downtempo, melodic house, and deep house in an emotionally moving manner. The drums are brought to life by rides and the melodic portion of the track can be described as slow euphoria that lingers softly, especially thanks to the dynamic between warm and piercing synth textures. This is the first single off his album Nova and it marks one of the moodier moments from the album.
