Dayuuuum. My ears have exploded with all things beautiful this morning and I couldn't wait to share the goodness.
Hayden James's breakthrough track "Something About You" gets a complete new feel from our favourites from Odesza. The original track is funky, tropical and groovy, but this remix makes the song amazingly different. To be honest, I haven't even recognized the original at first.
I love watching how the duo is developing their production mastery. The build up from gentle piano to heavy drops, which are hidden amongst silky percussion and sweet, soft vocals. I sent this track to a friend of mine this morning and I'm quoting: "it feels like kissing a song", and as unusual as it may sound it's so true.
This remix just reminds me why we love Odesza so much.
