Like sand slipping through your fingertips, the keys on the new Hesta Banks release land ever so gracefully throughout the slick rhythm section.
UK-based artist Hesta Banks may be at the start of her career, although with a soul this soulful and nostalgic, it's clear that the future looks promising. "Sand in Your Hair" beautifully exhibits not only her vocal prowess but her ability to write lyrics that color your imagination. Her Moonchild-reminiscent voice is complimented by a brass section that brings the track to life, especially toward the end.
"Sand in Your Hair is the first single from Hesta’s debut album, Eyes Forward, due on 27th October. Each track travels through a new colour, texture and space within the album’s ‘pool of sound’, all while being underpinned by an exploration of identity, home and authenticity", they shared.
