The second your earphones are lodged into your ears, my number one advice to you is to close your eyes as 'Safe Emergency' feels like 3D sonic expedition that must be experienced in full.

I'm mention '3D' primarily because of the stunning manner Human Age has made use of the stereo field to manipulate distance and space. I love the subtle contrast between the activity in the foreground versus the events in the background. That may sound quite nerdy from my side though it was the meticulousness within the production which hoisted my emotions right till the very end. In fact, by the time the fat lady begins to sing we're unexpectedly acquainted with an eruption of synthesizers worthy of a 7 on the Richter scale. By this point the track has a completely different feel since the whole journey was decorated with calming textures. If you're a fan of Bonobo, Tycho or even Catching Flies... This is certainly for you.
