One of my fav discoveries of 2025 - Jakarta-based electronic/downtempo five-piece I Talk Too Much When I'm Drunk return with the second single from their forthcoming debut album scheduled for release later this summer. Following their brilliant single "Front Door", "Good Game" changes the narrative by adding a sweet taste of adding a drop of ballearic dance to its essence. A song that's the perfect soundtrack to a sunset spent with good friends and lowkey groovy energy.
Born out of quiet chaos during Jakarta’s lockdown days, I Talk Too Much When I'm Drunk found its voice in the creative premise of Ruang Waktu Music studio. What started as a side project soon became a sanctuary of sound where Miguel Sanchez (keys), Samji Rende (guitar), Piyush Vishwajeet (bass), Adit Margonda (programming), and the hauntingly gentle presence of vocalist Tan Sian Ling came together to craft something quietly magnetic. 5 people who will define my 2025, for sure.
What I've heard so far sounds like walking home after the afterparty, both dreamy and beautifully disoriented. The collective blur the lines between ambient electronica, soft melancholy, and hazy nostalgia in the most exquisite way possible, and I couldn't be more excited about their debut record.
A perfect fit for our dance vibes playlist.
