I'm so excited to share with you our new label release and welcome a new member to our family. Ikane C. (ˈaɪ ˈkæn ˈsi) stands for the artist's intuitive way of creating inner spaces with his eyes wide shut. Samuel Arvon Jones the Afro-American chillhop producer behind the pseudonym uses this mindset to layer unique field-recordings of personal moments with multiple self played instruments and his obsession for sound design.

I actually had the pleasure of meeting Sammy in person here in Berlin and I must say - one of the nicest and passionate producers I've met in a long time. His music interests and knowledge span throughout genres, but I must admit - the laid back feeling of "Memory in a Bottle" feels really special. Also, it is our first chillhop / lofi release and for a website that covers the genre extensively it feels like the right next step. I hope it brings you joy.
