The first thing I thought to myself when I first stumbled upon Two Feet in the beginning of last year was the fact that this guy will blew up. I had absolutely no idea who he was, but his debut EP First Steps had (and still has) quite the mesmerizing effect on me. I turned out to be right - the EP got millions of plays, but to this day I had no idea who Two Feet is and... what is he trying to achieve.

Naturally, I had to fix this and after a few tweets we managed to catch up with him for this interview.

Looking at our Google search traffic, your artist page is one of the most visited pages on our website. People mostly google for "who is two feet", so I guess I have to ask you. Who are you?

I'm an early 20 something year old musician from NYC ;)

I actually don't know anything about you besides the countless repeats on the First Steps EP, so this is quite exciting. Have you been involved with other acts / bands before starting Two Feet?

I played in a couple Jazz bands but "Two Feet" is my official first project.

If your First Steps meant 9+ million plays on SoundCloud, what should we expect from the second EP? I know you're in the works of it. How are things shaping up so far?

The second EP is just like an expansion of the first. I focus a bit more on songwriting then beat making with it. I'm releasing it in two parts. 2 songs at a time.

Your first release had no collaborations, although afterwards you worked with Melvv on the brilliant "Not Me". Have you thought about bringing other people in your solo work in the near future?

Yes many more collaborations to come ;)

From your name to the SoundCloud image and the artwork of First Steps EP. What's with the feet obsession?

I approached the name with a sense of humor rather than thinking to seriously about. I didn't want a chic name. I spent about 2 seconds thinking of a name before i decided on it.

Your embarking on your first tour. Who are the people you bring on the road with you? Oh yeah, when should we expect any dates in Europe?

Europe dates in 2018. I brought my friend huff who helped me play the synths and drum bits of my music.

How did you end up working with Majestic Casual Records before releasing any music prior the EP? That must have been pretty exciting!

They reached out to me after they found my stuff online! I really love the fellas at majestic we feel like a big family at this point.

What do you enjoy more? Singing or producing?

It depends day by day. Somedays I like just sitting and playing my guitar and singing. Others i favor producing. Producing might have a slight edge because you can translate your ideas better than just straightforward singing.

How does a typical Two Feet day look like? When did music making became a full time thing and what did you do before that?

I worked doing random jobs and at a bodega while writing music. A typical day consists of me waking up and basically starting to write after I've had my coffee. Music became full time after my EP blew up and changed my life.

What is the hardest thing you had to sacrifice in the name of music?

The biggest sacrifice initially was my personal life. I had to keep myself focused. I wouldn't go and party, I wouldn't spend much time with friends. I would just sit and write all day.

Who should go fuck himself, where is she and what's her life now and did she become so cold after your quick musical doodles & sex?

Hahahah, I'll leave that up to interpretation!

How do your close friends and family react to the insane success of the first release you did last year? Is it like a big deal or you still the exact same person to them?

My family is incredibly happy and so are my friends. I think I'm the same person to them all no one really treats me much different.

Who are the artists you're looking up to when it comes to music inspiration?

At this point I'm kinda just trying to find inspiration from within. I'm honing in on my own sound and instead of taking in outside influences i want to develop my style.

Thank you so much for the interview! Any last words?

I just wanna say thank you so much for the continued support! Sorry it took me so long to get back to this I've had the busiest two months of my life!
