Hazy, lush, and a splash of sexy!
Excited to introduce you to Swedish artist and producer Iona Constantinescu and her dream collaborators - our mate Louk and Amsterdam-based pianist ChonRa. This jazzy Avengers dream team has managed to craft an absolute beauty in the sonic form of "Jelly Bean". I love the blend of that smooth Rhodes paired with the sax melody, but what's most impressive is that the trio managed to escape the well-known jazz house formula and add so much cool dynamics and the jazz-inherent feeling of improvisation.
The track will be part of IONA's upcoming EP Sproillans, and worry you should not - if you crave more of this, I'll definitely keep an eye (and ear) out for it.
