UK-based producer and DJ Jaime Rosso has made quite a name for himself more so as a talented selector with an eclectic taste palette. What stood out to me about his latest track, "Away" is how it fuses an indie sensibility with the driving energy of dance music. This is done through soothing vocals that remind us a lot of Caribou, and a sample-led backdrop with a soulful aesthetic. I can't neglect to mention the raw drums that pierce through the mix with their crisp presence, adding a dynamic edge that contrasts beautifully with the track’s softer elements.
