The day I stop swooning over James Vincent McMorrow's voice is the day I'm giving up on life. Nothing this guy has ever released has sounded bad to my ears and new track 'Red Dust' is absolutely no exception. Casting your minds back to his previous release 'Cavalier' from forthcoming album Post Tropical, 'Red Dust' is something very much in the same vein. Brooding, vibrant and lush with stacked harmonies, it's becoming easier to piece together the sound of the new album and it's good. Oh, it's very good.

I can't help but compare James' progression to that of Justin Vernon in terms of production and what he can do with his voice. If Early In The Morning was For Emma, Forever Ago, then Post Tropical will surely be Bon Iver. I don't know about you, but that thought excites the living bajeesus outta me.
