Lately, the sound of Jasper Tygner has taken a moodier, somewhat darker tone, and his latest release "Phase" acquaints us with exactly that.
"Phase" is part of a larger body of work that the UK-based producer as been rolling out, particularly within a "blue" and melancholic context. However, this release is certainly one of the more punchier and dance floor orientated releases. Thick, spacey pads enter the mix during the intro while a UKG-inspired rhythm section shuffles underneath that. The track really comes to life in the second half when the drums are stripped back, and then follows an impactful climax as "Phase" unveils its most powerful emotional peak.
