The arrival of JID's 4th solo album, God Does Like Ugly, has come with A LOT of praise, with it being tagged as one of the best bodies of work in hip hop so far.

Born and raised in East Atlanta, J.I.D. has become one of the torchbearers for modern hip hop, especially when it comes to storytelling and lyricism. One of the gems from his newest project is "VCRs" with the one and only Vince Staples, and the pair trade verses about their encounters with violence within their communities. An eerie instrumental fleshed out by warm yet gloomy guitars creates this eerie vibe, tastefully complementing the subject matter, along with Vince's nonchalant flows.
