Now this is an exciting collaboration! Junior Simba and Wayward have teamed up on "Don't Say You Love Me" to deliver the kind of track that'll have you crying on the dancefloor.
Over the years, Junior Simba has shown how he is able to infuse a range of different styles with UK Garage. For this new track, the rich, soulful charm of the vocals is reminiscent of R&B, while the rhythm section occasionally borrows from breakbeat as it moves through the progression. It's beautiful how I can also hear Wayward when I tune into the soundscapes, as they have a knack for moody textures - and this works so well combined with Junior Simba's club-leaning sound. Thematically, "Don't Say You Love Me" explores the gap between words and actions in modern relationships. Knowing this makes the experience all the more intimate!
