Kan Wakan is the moniker for the Bulgarian-born and Los Angeles-based producer, film composer, and multi-instrumentalist Gueorgui Linev. He has released his first single, "Molasses", from his upcoming album, Phantasmagoria.
Featuring the vocals of Elle Olsun, this is a smooth and silky track. Also really digging the imagery for the artwork- dripping molasses on a citrusy orange. Worthy of noting is the harmonica solo halfway through the song that you would imagine would be out of place, but it certainly complements the chilled, downtempo song.
Keep an eye out for Kan Wakan's forthcoming triple LP scheduled for the spring of 2017.
