A few months ago my mate edapollo put me on Kayla Painter's music and I've been enjoying these beautiful progressive vibes she crafted as a 5-track EP titled Somewhen.
"I wrote 'Somewhen' whilst imagining a time and a world that is happening parallel to our own. The EP tells the story of a lost future with vibrant landscapes based in a world that draws from both my Fijian and British side. The EP is drenched with synths and bold colours, it's unapologetic and, quite (obviously - if you know me) weird. Somewhen is looking into the past to create a new future with a dream like familiarity. I am excited to share it with you, somewhen soon.", shares Kayla.
The selection offers quite the range of experimental electronica, from the lofi "Unseen and Unknown" to the synth-heavy pusher "Mangroove Forest".
