It comes as a surprise that Kleia Sage's "hundreds of hours" is only her second release considering the quality of her craft and the depth of emotion she conveys.
The U.S.-based alt/r&b artist has spent the last year and a half learning how to turn feelings into cohesive soundtracks. She showcases that she's able to do this exceptionally well on her new track "hundreds of hours" as she delves into the theme of desire, albeit seeing it from the lens of addiction. The songwriting is heavy and grounding while we're lifted into cloud 9 by the dreamy guitars and her airy vocal performance. Towards the end, the track takes on an experimental appeal, twisting and contorting our expectations as it becomes more and more left field.
