Kloyd's new mixtape, New Love, is probably one of the most cohesive electronic projects that I've heard recently - each track feels connected, meandering together like streams joining a larger river.

From the visuals to the sonic aesthetic, Kloyd carries a vintage feel, heightening the sense of nostalgia throughout the experience. One of the standout moments here is "Nothing Could've Made Me" with Winifred, a journey-like release that follows an unconventional structure that begins to feel hypnotic thanks to the repeating layers. It isn't a particular vocal or a synth line that pierces through the mix, but it's rather the entire atmosphere that we're immersed in that seems to hold our attention. The drums are raw and crunchy, while the glossy pianos floating in the background offer a subtle melodic presence that feels quite haunting.
