The soulful nature of the beat on "True Story" is utterly irresistible, although its undoubtedly Lamel's lyricism which breathes life into the track.

His vocal delivery cuts right through the mix due to his piercing timbre, allowing us to really take in the heartfelt story he shares with us. Towards the end, a sax is introduced and this actually solidifies the somewhat melancholic feel that is lately embedded in the vocals and instrumental.
