In the past few days, I'm deep in the jazz rabbit hole... and I'm loving it.
Today's treat comes from the lovely Leona Berlin, with the help of the keyboard magician Rob Araujo.
"Who You Are" balances between intimate piano and a hard-hitting hip hop beat, all interwoven by Leona's powerful, yet soft vocals, chanting the mantra-like message "Open your heart". The climax is undoubtedly Rob's synthesizer solo towards the end - which I'm sure will blow you away.
This is the 2nd single from Leona Berlin's upcoming album Change (due Nov 26th via Wrong Lane Records). The track comes with an absolutely stunning video where Berlin dancer Daniel Asamoah blends it all with his movements in the dark.
