The Norwegian electronic producer has a background in composing and sound design for theatre and film, thus explaining his fascinating approach when it comes to making immersive experiences. This release serves as the opening track from his new EP Waves, and I loved how it's rich with texture and a variety of emotional melodic layers. Towards the end, we're confronted with the contrast of raw, semi-industrial embellishments in the rhythm section paired alongside dreamy synths that feel uplifting. "Waves" is forward-thinking, cinematic, and the kind of track that offers something new with each listen.
