Do you remember Gazelle & the Bear? Their jazz masterpiece "Two, One" completely blew me away when I heard it back in 2020.

Last week, the solo project of Julian (a.k.a. the Bear) - lil pando, had his debut. "Just Friends" is as mesmerizing and mind-bending as their previous stuff but he also sings here - which reminded me a lot of Taylor McFerrin.

The song is rich in the signature jazz groove on the drums, spacey synths, playful keys & hazy vocal lines, telling the story of how romantic love can turn into a platonic one. This is best consumed with eyes closed, trust me.
