Get ready for a Friday morning filled with cosmic groove, courtesy of UK jazz artist Matt Wilde. Someone who we're highly fond of, Matt, is gearing up for his upcoming album Find a Way scheduled for release on October 10th.
"It's OK, Feel It" pays homage to both the jazz and dance scenes in Matt's homeland by gracefully incorporating tightly sounding kicks/snare patterns and blending that energy with vibrant modern jazz inflections. An absolute elegance that proves modern jazz can make you move, feel, and groove.
Find a Way will be released on Matt’s own label imprint, Hello World Records. What I appreciate about his work is his constant North Star of incorporating jazz's native improvisation nature with new genres and emotions. He elaborates, "The creative act is not a matter of waiting for the perfect conditions, but of moving gently, insistently, through the imperfect".
