Myron & E from sunny California got me really excited today as I finally heard some quality soul. The duo is about to release their debut album Broadway and I can't wait for it. The guys met a few years ago, had quite a few sold-out shows without even having their proper first album. Pretty impressive if you ask me.
As one of the members says: "We maintain a relationship with classic soul. To me, that was the greatest music that ever existed. We're trying to keep the spirit of that alive."
Can you feel the vibe? I definitely do. It's so vintage and awesome that it makes me want to dig out all possible old funk/soul records. In general the track is funky as hell and brings in a summer vibe (which we all desperately need). The guys have succeeded in creating a very smooth throwback. This is what I call quality music.
