Born in Ethiopia and raised in the Netherlands, Neema Nekesa is an r&b artist who pulls a variety of different genres into her musical orbit. On this release, Blue Lab Beats creates a neo-soul leaning backdrop that's embellished with glittery piano arrangements and spacey synths. Neema's soft yet passionate vocal performance brings a sense of warmth and intimacy that ties the entire arrangement together. The drums have this raw presence, while the vocals have a pristine quality to it, giving the track an interesting type of textural dynamic.
