The Londoner Nilüfer Yanya was posted on Stereofox a few months ago, and I am late in discovering her newer releases.
Her sound blends an array of musical styles. I am really feeling a bosa nova vibe with the guitar through out the song, but the chorus has such a 90s indie sound to it when the guitar starts to just jam. On top of that, she has one of those soul voices that's powerful and angelic at the same time.
Given the lyrics are based on a break-up and seem a tad bitter - we've been there - I can't help but love the subtle bosa nova vibes from this track.
