NoKillShelter fluctuates between hard-hitting and incredibly dreamy on his latest release, "closer" - part of his string of singles that marks his return after a 2-year hiatus.

Itching to create introspective and mind-blowing sounds through the use of hand-collected samples and vintage synths, the aesthetic of NoKillShelter really has an otherworldly feel to it. What I loved about "closer" was the lush soundscapes tastefully complementing the catchy vocals. As soon as the bass line fills up the low end, the track bursts to life while a piercing lead enters the mix, adding a striking layer of intensity that cuts through the lush production.
