Among the electronic releases we'd been looking forward to most, O'Flynn's third album Kairos sits near the top of the list - and it finally arrived last week.

How Kairos differs from his last two albums is that it fully incorporates the various styles the UK-based producer brings to his craft. On the closing track "Can I Hold You", we're acquainted with a downtempo-leaning O'Flynn - which also happens to be my favourite sonic aesthetic of his. The stereofield shimmers with strings and glockenspiel embellishments while the soulful vocal performance adds a human warmth that beautifully complements the track's expansive, cinematic atmosphere. Honestly, you could close your eyes and pick out a range of different elements at play here, and I absolutely loved that this experience is FULL of ear candy for us to indulge in!
