I often check out friends of the artists I'm listening to, because in most cases these are some talented but barely known fellas. It feels like I'm digging out gold.
In case of Okenyo I might have dug out something more than gold. I was having hard times in my attempts to describe her style: there are eclectic electronic elements, pop-ish sound, fierce vocals creating intensity unimaginable for pop music. Zindzi Okenyo is expressive and emotional on the edge of dramatic.

Only two tracks on Soundcloud make me curios about what else we will hear from Okenyo. Definitely an artist to watch.
