After years of dropping vibrant, funk-influenced singles, PawPaw Rod has finally announced the release of his upcoming debut album Picture Day: A PawPaw Rod Album. "I Wish" serves as the second single, and here, lush synths are paired with groovy guitars to make up a colorful listening experience with a vibey rhythm section. Lyrically, PawPaw paints the picture of a man struggling with essentially pleasing others and himself, and eventually, accepting his limitations in this conquest. I can see this being relatable for many, and I love how he's made it fun in the process.
