Very rarely does it happen to me that I am really into a band or an artist and I have the chance to see them live.

Well, last Friday was one of those miraculous moments. It was like all the pieces magically fit together.

Oddisee (about whom we've talked a lot, because, well, we love him) came to Sofia, Bulgaria with his band, Good Compny as part of their Beneat The Surface Tour. The event happened in Sofia Live Club, courtesy to ReelFeel.

And a last-minute surprise, an awesome one, really, was that another great musician tagged along - Olivier St. Louis.

Olivier St. Louis

Olivier, who has been working with various artists like C2C, Hudson Mohawke and many more, warmed us up with an excellent mixture of funk and rock. Some say he very well combines classics like Al Green and the eccentrics of Prince.

And when we were just getting started, Oddisee jumped onto stage.

He had so much energy, so much positive vibe and it was really infectious! You couldn’t just stay there patiently listen to the music. You were part of the show. Amazing!

We heard first-hand (literally) his latest album The Iceberg (you can read our review HERE) and classics like “That’s Love” and my personal favourite, “Own Appeal”.

Even though I just tried to do that here, I think music cannot be described. Music is meant to be listened to. And I would add – music is meant to be experienced live. Especially in the case of such great musicians coming together to create a memorable concert.

Thanks a lot! And see you soon, hopefully!
