Every time I've been jamming with people or being part of a band, I've always failed to show/explain what kind of music I would love to drum to. After years of trying to find that one song which encompasses I ever looked for in a band (as a musician), I've found it via a Stereofox submission and I couldn't express how happy that made me feel.
Meet PLEASURES. A dark groove trio from the swamp lands of southwest Florida who enjoy exploring sound manipulation of all kinds using synthesizers, vocal processing, and alternate time signatures amid thick layers of creamy chords and melodies. The guys create a weirdly cool mix of psych rock, electronic and ambient music and... idk. It's kind of like math rock meets Bjork meets The Knife?
The track is taken off their upcoming sophomore album which is due out in the spring of 2018. Also, "Lights Out" comes with a sick video you should definitely watch.
