You guys probably already know this, but I'll say it one more time - we absolutely love Poldoore's beats. Luckily, the Belgium producer just dropped something beautiful - a track titled "Carefree".
Mike (while being on holidays, so props to that) managed to to quickly catch up with Thomas, so here's some info on those 3 minutes and 23 seconds of "summer vibes".
M: What was the inspiration of the track? (What kind of feeling do you intend to create with it)
T: I randomly heard this sweet 70's r&b track on Spotify a while ago, which immediately caught my ear. A couple of weeks ago I finally took some time to mess around with it, and pretty quickly came up with the basis of the song.
The weather was really nice outside that day, so I wanted to create a beat that breathes summer vibes, going on a road trip and just enjoy life in general.
M: I noticed a few well-known samples in there, so I am curious to know: what process went into making the track?
T: The vocals are indeed pretty catchy and a lot of people will recognize them. I love the idea of taking little vocal parts from different songs and creating new lyrics with them. I really wanted the separate vocal cuts to make sense as a whole, which isn't as easy to accomplish as it sounds
M: Since "Carefree" is the ultimate summer jam, do you have any special plans for the next few months?
T: I have a lot of plans for the next months Belgium is a country with literally hundreds of festivals during the summer, so I'll definitely pay a visit to a couple of them.
Next to that I've also got some nice gigs lined up in Switzerland, Bulgaria (a festival called Hippielandia), France, Belgium, so yeah - I can't wait to hit the road and have a good time!
