Nothing beats Polunation's approach to creating electronic music while heavily relying on analog gear.
Ever since I discovered their track, "Lory", back in 2021, I've considered their mix of synthetic and live as a North Star when it comes to the kind of electronic sound I want in my library.
The Dutch duo is currently on tour, and today we celebrate their brand new single, "Flora", which draws inspiration from a number of seemingly different influences. Besides the usual electronic-meets-organic sound, Stijn and Hessel incorporate jazz elements and chants that add a global and beautifully mystic scent to the whole composition.
With a build-up that could only be described as perfection, "Flora" is an experience in its purest form. With ups and downs, I just can't wait to go on an early morning run and enjoy the world around me while listening to this.
