Alright

Hold tight, because our new premiere will be transporting you somewhere exotic. If you're fan of blending bossa nova, beach vibes and perfectly created kicks, then Bluestaeb's new single "Alright" will be your source of happiness today.

Paris-via-Berlin beat-maker is gearing up for his upcoming third album Everything Is Always a Process. Out via Berlin-based label Jakarta Records, "Alright" is absolutely magical.

„Alright” was the first track I finished for the album in 2016 and it is still one of my favorites.

This song clearly shows the transition from my last album “Rodalquilar” to the music I make today. Around that time I started working more and more on the arrangements and the live instrumentation of my music in order to create full songs & not just looped beats. I was also listening to a lot of Neo-Soul & Soulection music (around that time), wich also influenced the vibe of my own music. “Alright” clearly is a result of this process. The first thing I had for this song was the sample you can hear in the intro. I was always fascinated how well brazilian / latin rhythms and trap drums blend together and I was looking for different grooves than the songs I had previously been working on.

I'm going to chime in here and say that I absolutely love the genres Bluestaeb has mixed together and I wish I could find similar music more often than I actually do. In addition, the artist shares...

Also, I was (and still am) trying to incorporate more of my own musical roots (percussion, drumming) into my songs so this actually felt very intuitive. I knew this was not going to be the whole song though and that it needed something original to contrast with that sample, so I started playing the second part from scratch and build a whole song around it. I remember how happy I felt when everything came together.

For me this is one of those songs that you immediately send out to your friends to get some feedback because you are so proud about what you just created..
