While I don't get to share acoustic music as often as I would like to, finding an inspiring & touching track feels like stumbling upon a hidden treasure on a small island somewhere far, far away.

Really honoured and happy to host the premiere of Jack Symes's new single "Sugar Mama". Honestly, I can't put into words how warm and smiley this song makes me feel.

So, as I said - meet singer/songwriter, Jack Symes. A young, promising artist with a sound and writing style inspired by and reminiscent of the foregoing and forthcoming generations of American folk. Born and raised in Pasadena, Jack spent his adolescence in Southern California prior to moving to Berkley in 2012. As a college student, Jack dove heavy into the Bay Area music scene where he’s established a dedicated following. In December 2016, he released his debut EP, Gargoyles, in anticipation of his first tour. It was on the road that he wrote and released his first single, "Roll Me Away" in March of 2017. Shortly after, Jack graduated from UC-Berkeley and made his way back home to Los Angeles.

Listening to this makes me want to run wild along some corn fields on a warm summer day. Life feels good and everyone around me - amazing.

Major props to these lovely people - Jack Symes (vocal, guitar),  Gregory Ackerman (bass), Andrew Jones (drums), Theo Fedronic (trumpet), Marc Fedronic (trombone), Brittany and Brooke Hanson (vocals). Oh yeah... I absolutely love how Jack vocals sound next to Brittany and Brooke's.

Today's feature - "Sugar Mama", will be part of Jack's debut studio album, Songs for Moms, set for release in early 2019
