There are a few people in the music/indie scene here in Berlin who have been constantly pushing forward and releasing nothing but touching and inspiring music. I have to say I'm quite excited about this premiere as Jackson Dyer is one of those people I've mentioned before.

Ever since I first heard him live at Berlin's notorious Mauerpark and heard his EP White Threads, he has been a constant presence in mine and many other fox team members' playlists.

Today, we're premiering the 3rd and final single titled "Project Abstraction" which will be included in his upcoming Compartments EP (out October 21st). After the late night slow-motion jam "Steal Away" and the emotional "The Absolute", his 3rd song takes on issues & emotions, I believe we all eventually deal with:

Fortunately, I’ve been involved in the music industry for a few years now and I have the luxury of being able to pursue music as a songwriter and performer. However, I’m often left questioning the disconnect between the music industry and the “real world”.

The reality of being a musician, especially a solo songwriter, is that you spend many hours in the studio or on the road alone, living parallel to everyday life. It’s so easy to fall into what others expect of you, diluting or doubting your motivations and sometimes I wonder if I’m just a parody of myself or a typical musician. This song is about those emotions that I think many of us feel at harder times in our lives and careers

Add this track to your playlist, take a walk by yourself and let your thoughts and all those questions trapped inside float around your head. Not sure about you, but this track feels like that familiar favourite spot we all go by ourselves to find comfort.
