Inside

In 2022 we predicted the rise of Pretty Girl in our Women of Electronica article, and as it stands her sound is such a breath of fresh air in the scene at the moment.

Her track "Inside" is not only part of a larger body of work she's rolling out, but it's also my favorite release that she's put out this year. It possesses a groove that's infectious by virtue of how well the bass sits next to the drums. In fact, the bouncy bass reminds us of 90s acid house and this nostalgia is accentuated by the acid lines decorated across the second half of the track. The lush soundscapes elegantly compliment her angelic vocals, and this has been one of the core components that makes her music so deeply emotive.
