Having shared two cautionary demo tracks back in March, Pumarosa unleash one of the strongest debut records you'll hear this year.

The band brings together an eclectic mix of sounds, with a broody songwriting style akin to PJ Harvey while sonically exploring rock, industrial, electronic and a dose of Balearic bliss thrown in for good measure.

"Priestess" is about my sister; Fernanda vocalist Isabel told The Fader. She is a dancer, and we have gone out into the night dancing since we were 14. Now she is a professional contemporary choreographer and life can be hard—surviving in London, keeping the flame burning. But she does, and when I see her move it is the most beautiful thing…I think dancing is a powerful thing for anybody to do. It’s not earning anyone money, you can do it anywhere, it can feel so good. It can be a protest, it can be a celebration, you can lose yourself.”

Listen above, and hear the magic unfold as Pumarosa weave their way through the blistering soundscape with effortless grace.

Yes, it’s over seven minutes long, but stick with it – it’s so worth it.
