Hold On

This one gave me a Sade vibe. I don't know why, but 5 seconds in Ramsey Renée's "Hold On" and I was vibing like there's no tomorrow.

There's something enchanting about the voice of the DMV-based artist. A natural-born creative, Ramsey feels less like someone who chose music and more like someone music chose. She had been humming melodies before she could form full sentences, singing before she could take her first steady steps. A gifted singer, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist, she carries herself with the quiet glow of an undiscovered gem - raw, radiant, and only moments away from being found.

While today was the first time I heard her name, Ramsey Renée has quite the catalog, including a full-length debut album she dropped in 2023. With "Hold On", she steps into a new chapter marked by growth and clarity. Her signature soulful tone and honest lyricism remain, but there's a deeper sense of intention this time around. After taking space to evolve (both personally and creatively), this feels like a more grounded and focused sound than ever. Couldn't be more excited for this girl.
