REASON delivers an incredibly honest and raw performance on his somber release "Liu Kang" - one of the most heartfelt tracks on his latest project Everything In My Soul_Blue.
What I love about REASON is that he is able to consistently oscillate between introspective and feel good rap that puts you in a vibe. On "Liu Kang", the former shines through as he dives into the messy dynamics of fame, success, and how that has had an impact on his friendship circle. The soulful guitars along with his soothing vocals heighten the track's emotional appeal in manner we're able to connect with. However it's really his talent with words that grip our attention as he presents a story that's as vulnerable as it is universal, inviting us to feel every word as if it were our own.
