Sample-driven hip hop is something I'm instantly drawn to.
LA rapper, songwriter & producer Rowlan, who Lu wrote about a while ago ("What I Say") is relatively new to us but actually got 5 albums behind his back and a lot of stories to tell.
His latest piece "no love, no trust" has punchy beatwork and mellow piano that serve as a ground on where his bars stand tall. A story about a breakup and what lead to it, this beautiful listening experience will certainly make you think.
