Like a beautifully painted flower, each petal of Slack Armada unfolds to reveal new textures and layers. "Your Majesty" follows a course of calming soundscapes, carrying it's listeners over the river and through the woods of mysterious turns and dark hazy shoegaze, only to be re-awakened by the light of pulsating rhythms and cinematic strings.
Ranging from uplifting, to meditative, to eerily mystifying, Slack Armada illuminates with a unique twist on ambient, post-rock sounds. James Hrabak, the Chicago-based composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist behind the project, happily assures that the self-titled EP is the first of many to come.
