On "Calibrate", UK-based artist Slowe takes us through a journey-like experience filled with a variety of moods and textures.

The endearing, jazz-fusion “Calibrate” is the fifth single taken from Slowe (AKA Sophie Hawes)’s debut album Where The Mind Wanders which arrives on the 28th of July through Tru Thoughts. Jazz isn't the only genre that makes an appearance here, her vocals are oozing with soul, and the presence of the glossy arps provides an electronic feel towards the second half. Even though we're acquainted with a lot of different styles, "Calibrate" twists and turns into these various avenues in a manner that complements Slowe's vocal delivery and themes of the track.

“Calibrate the fear of going backward, the longing for growth, and the need for a personal calibration to achieve balance and clarity”, says Slowe.
