I woke up at 4:30 AM today, something unusual even by my standards, but what came out of it was an amazing listening session while watching the thickest mist I've seen in a while. I love how the city lights get swallowed by the energy of the haze, turning everything around you into this surreal, futuristic, and very eerie scenery. All of this was the perfect setting to experience SYEYL's "La Mer".
The Delhi-based producer crafts subliminal soundscapes by sampling fragments of the world that move him, ranging from fleeting textures and emotions to those moments of quiet inspiration. Blending these organic impressions with subtle electronic elements, his music unfolds in a realm of its own. Ethereal yet grounded, meditative yet quietly uplifting. The perfect soundtrack to a misty morning.
SYEYL has previously shared stages with some of my favourite electronic producers like Seb Wildblood, Sofia Kourtesis, and Kode9. Certainly excited about what's next for him.
