"Torn to Pieces By A Crocodile In North Queensland" is the opening track from Tar Blanche's newest EP, and with his project, we're welcomed to a gorgeous mixture of jazz house, electronica, and lofi house aesthetics.

Tar Blanche is the house project of Charlie Ryder, also of the alternative rock and bedroom pop group Yumi Zouma. I've always known Tar Blanche for his jazz house cuts, and with his release, he exhibits why he’s such a standout in the space. Vibrant, intricate grooves are paired with the presence of warm melodic textures, guiding the track into an emotive direction. This, along with the cries of the sax towards the second half of the track, surely offers a deep sense of comfort for listeners.
