Alright friends, not sure about you, but at 38°C I feel like I'm being slow-cooked to perfection. Everything's shifted down a gear - emails, thoughts, playlists, even time itself seems to be moving a little slower.
On the bright side, my wife and I fixed up our balcony, and it does feel like a nice oasis in the midst of this summer heat. What's even better is that I've got this brand new Tcollab to add the much-needed soundtrack to a hazy afternoon summer drink. Yes, we're talking about groovy jazz house at its finest. Belgium-born, Portugal-based producer philocalie joins forces once again with Germany's Terrazze for a sun-drenched, groove-led two-tracker that feels tailor-made for the first proper days of summer.
"We wanted to craft something for the start of summer, so those 2 tracks came quite naturally, given the sunny days we’ve had so far. Morning Sun feels like that first track you can play in the morning to feel good, while Caribbean Lights picks up where it leaves off, somewhere between late-night beach bars and faded neon reflections on the water," the dream collaborators shared with us when they sent us this beauty for label release. Oh yeah, that's right - this is on our own imprint. I couldn't be happier!
