By its nature, I find post-rock very lonesome music, fairly introvert and honestly, I have severe problems when it comes to sharing the experience with someone else... I  guess writing down my thoughts is the closest I can get to conveying my feeling when I listen to such music. Otherwise, being at a post-rock concert feels very individual experience. Just my 0.2 cents, you know?

Anyhow, my pick this week is a song by The Calm Blue Sea self-titled album released in 2011 and a video compiled with a footage from the notorious Saving Private Ryan movie. Hailing from Austin, TX the quartet are blending together cinematic piano motives and aggressive crescendo build-ups and distant vocals, which I find something really, really appealing in a post-rock composition. However it is not singing in its traditional form. The track doesn't revolve around those words - they are just another instrument to pass on the message. Enjoy the song (soundcloud has superb quality) and the video. I am trembling, so powerful!
