Going back to basics, brotherly trio The Family Rain's retro-inspired rock 'n' roll has seen this Bath based band lock onto something pretty special. With an unpretentious vocal, guitar, bass and drum line-up, The Family Rain's simple instrumentation sees them unlock the true potential of their instruments without the aid of wishy-washy synths and overindulgent technology.
Squeezed into a concise 3:10, "Pushing It" (produced by Jim Abyss of The Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian fame) focuses upon using heavy guitar riffs and big, bluesy chords to hold the listener’s attention throughout.
