Been a fan of GeeJay ever since I found them back in 2018 with "Vibrate" and seeing them re-appear for the first time since the end of 2022 & also taking part in this phenomenal compilation fills my heart with so much joy.
Probably one of the most important things for the underground/urban music scene in the UK, The Silhouettes Project continues to unveil new songs from the upcoming Vol. 2 (out Feb 16th). Bringing together various acts from the soul, hip-hop, jazz, and r&b scene, they've managed to create such a unique community for creativity, support & pure love for music.
The 15th single "Moment" is produced with Outrageous Claims (who was also on the first compilation) and he added an out-of-this-world jazz touch to GeeJay's signature funk/groove & powerful soul vocals. Personally, one of my top picks so far from the new LP, can't wait to hear the full thing.
